Pig Scramble

The pig scramble is a time honored county fair tradition that puts youngsters in a ring scrambling to catch a swine. Although the prize is now cash, rather than a pig, this event is fun for contestants as well as spectators.

Scavenger Hunt

Orleans County Fair resurrected this fun activity in 2019, when youth were sent to various locations around the grounds to spell out the word SWINE. The prize was a commemorative fair pin. Stop in the Dairy Bar during the fair, to get the details on the latest scavenger hunt.

Cooking Competition

From chicken wings to BBQ Ribs, each year the fair tries to come up with a new theme to tantalize your taste buds, and enable local amateur chefs to show off their culinary skills.

Farmer Games

The farmer games are Sunday’s best kept secret! After the serious business of showing livestock is complete, farmers tuck the animals back in the barns, and unwind by competing in a series of informal challenges.

Coin Scramble

What would Children’s Day be without a coin scramble? Better than searching for a needle in a haystack, children sift through sawdust on the hunt for coins of all values.
